From Wanaka, drive southwest on State Highway 6. After approximately 50 kilometers, you will reach the turnoff for the 'Mou Waho Lookout Point' at Arethusa Pool. Follow the signs to the parking area. Note that this drive will take about 1 hour. Parking is available at Arethusa Pool, but it can fill up quickly during peak times. Parking is free.

Take a bus from Wanaka to the closest station, which is the 'Makarora' bus stop. From there, you will need to arrange a taxi or shuttle service to reach Arethusa Pool. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes and can cost around NZD 40-60 depending on the service. Make sure to book your taxi in advance as services can be limited in remote areas.
