Walking
If you are in central Napier, start at the Napier i-SITE Visitor Information Centre located at 100 Marine Parade. Head south towards Marine Parade and walk along the beach front. Continue walking along Marine Parade until you reach the intersection with State Highway 51. Cross the road at the pedestrian crossing and continue walking straight. Follow the footpath along State Highway 51 which will lead you towards Te Awa. After approximately 30 minutes of walking, you will reach Beach Carpark on your left. The carpark is situated near the beach, so you can enjoy the coastal views along the way.

Public Transport
From Napier city centre, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Emerson Street. Catch the bus heading towards Te Awa. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure. Once you board the bus, ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Beach Carpark stop or the nearest stop to it. After getting off, walk back towards the beach along State Highway 51, and you will find Beach Carpark a short distance away.
