Start at the Nelson Bus Station located at 3 Bridge Street. Take the 'Nelson City to The Brook' bus route. The bus will take about 15 minutes to reach The Brook area. Inform the driver that you are going to The Brook Waimarama Sanctuary. Get off at the stop closest to Brook Street.

From the bus stop, head east on Brook Street. Continue walking along Brook Street for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass through a residential area. Look for signs directing you to The Brook Waimarama Sanctuary. The sanctuary entrance is at 651 Brook Street, which will be on your left.
