From the Nelson city center, head towards the waterfront. Start at Trafalgar Street and walk towards the south until you reach the intersection with Bridge Street. Turn right onto Bridge Street. Continue straight as it becomes Wakefield Quay. Follow Wakefield Quay for about 1.5 km. You will see the Nelson Ferry terminal at 272 Wakefield Quay on your left. The journey will take approximately 20-25 minutes on foot.
Public Transport - Bus
Catch the local bus from the Nelson Bus Station located on Halifax Street. Look for the bus routes heading towards Stepneyville or the waterfront. The bus will take you close to Wakefield Quay. You will need to get off at the closest stop to Wakefield Quay and walk the remaining distance. From the bus stop, head towards Wakefield Quay, and you will reach the Nelson Ferry terminal at 272 Wakefield Quay within a 5-minute walk.
