From Paihia, walk to the Paihia Bus Station located at 50 Marsden Road. Take the bus operated by 'InterCity' or 'Fullers360' towards Kawakawa. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Waiomio Caves' stop. After getting off the bus, walk along Waiomio Road (a short 10-minute walk) until you reach Kawiti Glowworm Caves at 49 Waiomio Road.

From anywhere in Paihia, you can call a taxi or use a rideshare service like Uber. Provide the driver with the address: 49 Waiomio Road, Waiomio 0243. The ride will take about 25 minutes depending on traffic.

Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Paihia. Head out of Paihia towards the Bay of Islands Road, then take a left onto State Highway 11. Continue on this road for about 20 minutes until you reach the turnoff to Waiomio Road. Follow Waiomio Road for about 3 km until you reach Kawiti Glowworm Caves. This ride will take approximately 1 hour depending on your cycling speed.
