    From Paihia, start at the Paihia Wharf. Head south on Marsden Road towards the main road. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with State Highway 11. Cross carefully to the other side of the road. Continue on State Highway 11 heading towards Opua. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach the turnoff for Waiomio Road. Turn left onto Waiomio Road and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. The Kawiti Glowworm Caves will be on your right at 49 Waiomio Road.

    If you have rented a bicycle in Paihia, start at the Paihia Wharf and head south on Marsden Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with State Highway 11. Carefully navigate the intersection and head towards Opua on State Highway 11. After about 2 kilometers, look for the turnoff to Waiomio Road on your left. Turn left and ride for about 1.5 kilometers. The Kawiti Glowworm Caves will be on your right at 49 Waiomio Road.
