Getting There

    From central Queenstown, walk to the bus stop at Camp Street, near the Queenstown Mall. Catch the Connectabus service towards Glenorchy. Inform the driver that you are heading to Moke Lake. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the Moke Lake Road stop, disembark and walk along Moke Lake Road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance to Moke Lake.

  • Bike

    Rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Queenstown. Head towards the Frankton Track, which will lead you to the surrounding areas. Follow the track that leads to Lake Wakatipu and then connect to the road that heads towards Moke Lake Road. It's about a 15 km ride from Queenstown, and the path is scenic and mostly flat. Once you reach Moke Lake Road, continue for another kilometer to reach the entrance.

    If you are feeling adventurous, you can walk from Queenstown to Moke Lake, although it is a long trek of about 15 kilometers. Start at the Queenstown Gardens and follow the lakeside path to the Frankton Track. From there, head towards the direction of Glenorchy, and you will see signs for Moke Lake Road.
