Bus
From Queenstown, head to the Queenstown Bus Station located on Camp Street. Look for the bus service that goes to Glenorchy, as this is the closest option to Moke Lake. Purchase your ticket from the driver or at the ticket counter. The bus will take you along the scenic route towards Glenorchy. You will want to get off at the Closeburn stop, which is approximately a 20-minute ride. Once you disembark, walk back along the road approximately 1.5 kilometers to Moke Lake Road.

Walking
If you prefer to walk from Queenstown, you can start at the Queenstown Gardens. Head northwest towards the Frankton Track, which is a scenic walking path. Follow the track until you reach Frankton Road. From there, walk along Frankton Road towards Closeburn. The total walking distance is about 15 kilometers, so allow around 3-4 hours for this journey. Once you reach Closeburn, find Moke Lake Road and follow it for about 1.5 kilometers to reach Moke Lake.

Bike
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Queenstown. Start your journey at the Queenstown Gardens and follow the cycle path that leads to Frankton. Continue on Frankton Road towards Closeburn. The total cycling distance is about 15 kilometers. Once you reach Closeburn, turn onto Moke Lake Road and cycle approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach Moke Lake. The cycling journey will take around 1-2 hours depending on your pace.
