Walking
If you are in Taupo town center, head south on Tongariro Street towards the lakefront. Continue walking until you reach the lake, then turn right onto Lake Terrace. Follow Lake Terrace for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you see the sign for Wharewaka. Turn left onto Wharewaka Drive and continue straight. Raupo Reserve will be on your left at the end of Wharewaka Drive.

Start at the Taupo town center and rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops. Head south on Tongariro Street and continue towards the lakefront. Once you reach the lake, turn right onto Lake Terrace. Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometers. When you see the Wharewaka sign, turn left onto Wharewaka Drive. Keep cycling straight, and you will find Raupo Reserve on your left at the end of the drive.
