Bus
From Tauranga city center, head to the Tauranga Bus Station located at 36 Elizabeth Street. Purchase a ticket to Matamata at the station. Buses to Matamata run several times a day. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Matamata bus stop, exit the bus and walk towards Broadway Street.

After arriving at the Matamata bus stop, turn left onto Broadway Street. Continue walking straight for about 500 meters. You will pass local shops and cafes. The Matamata i-SITE Visitor Information Centre will be on your right at 45 Broadway.

Bike
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Tauranga and cycle to Matamata. Follow the Te Ara o Mauao cycle path out of Tauranga, which connects to State Highway 29. Continue on the highway for about 25 kilometers until you reach Matamata. Once you are in Matamata, head towards Broadway Street, and the i-SITE Centre will be located at 45 Broadway.
