Walking
If you're starting from the Tauranga city center, head towards the waterfront on The Strand. Follow The Strand south until you reach the intersection with Devonport Road. Turn left onto Devonport Road and continue walking until you reach Mount Maunganui. Once you enter Mount Maunganui, keep walking straight until you reach Maunganui Road. Turn right onto Maunganui Road and continue walking until you see the signs for Mount Maunganui Watertower, which will be on your left. The walk will take approximately 40-50 minutes.

Public Transport
Take the Bayhopper bus (Route 2 or Route 3) from the Tauranga city center towards Mount Maunganui. You can catch the bus from the bus station on Grey Street. Get off at the 'Mount Maunganui Main Beach' stop. From there, walk along Maunganui Road heading towards the Mount Maunganui Watertower. It will be a short 10-minute walk. Follow the signs for Mount Maunganui Watertower as you proceed.
