If you are in central Tauranga, start by heading to the nearest bus stop and take the Bayhopper bus route towards Bellevue. Get off at the Bellevue stop on the corner of Maungatapu Road and Little John Drive. From there, walk down Little John Drive for about 10 minutes. The Gully is located at 37 Little John Drive, on the left side. Look for the entrance to the nature preserve, which is marked by a sign.

From Mount Maunganui, take the Bayhopper bus route towards Tauranga. After reaching the Tauranga bus station, transfer to the bus heading towards Bellevue. Get off at the Bellevue stop on the corner of Maungatapu Road and Little John Drive. Continue on foot down Little John Drive for about 10 minutes. You will find The Gully at 37 Little John Drive on your left. Follow the signs to the entrance of the nature preserve.
