Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Tauranga CBD, head west on Devonport Road towards the intersection with Elizabeth Street. Turn left onto Elizabeth Street and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto 15th Avenue. Follow 15th Avenue until you reach the intersection with Cameron Road (State Highway 29). Cross over Cameron Road and continue along 15th Avenue which will eventually turn into Bethlehem Road. Follow Bethlehem Road for about 2 kilometers until you see the entrance to Gordon Carmichael Reserve on your right.

  • Public Transport

    From the Tauranga CBD, catch the Baybus Route 3 towards Bethlehem. Board the bus at the closest bus stop along The Strand. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at the intersection of Bethlehem Road and Moffat Road. Alight here and walk approximately 500 meters down Bethlehem Road. The entrance to Gordon Carmichael Reserve will be on your left, just after you pass the Bethlehem Town Centre.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Tauranga. Start from the Tauranga CBD and head west on Devonport Road. When you reach the roundabout, take the first exit onto 15th Avenue. Follow this road to Cameron Road, where you will cross to continue on 15th Avenue. After about 3 kilometers, turn right onto Bethlehem Road, and continue for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Gordon Carmichael Reserve on your right. There are bike racks available at the reserve.
