Walking
From the center of Timaru, start at the Timaru Visitor Information Centre located on 12 George Street. Head south on George Street towards the intersection with Stafford Street. Turn left onto Stafford Street and continue walking until you reach the waterfront area. From here, follow the coastal walkway south, which will lead you towards the Timaru Port area. As you approach the port, keep an eye out for signs leading to Fairy Light House. Once you reach the port, the Fairy Light House is located at the end of the port area, easily visible from the walkway.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Timaru. Start at the Timaru Visitor Information Centre on 12 George Street. Cycle south on George Street and turn left onto Stafford Street. Continue until you reach the coastal walkway. Follow the coastal pathway south along the waterfront towards the Timaru Port. The route is bike-friendly, and you'll be able to see the Fairy Light House as you approach the port area.

Public Transport
While there are limited public transport options directly to Fairy Light House, you can take a bus from the Timaru Bus Station to the nearest point to the port. Catch a bus heading towards the Timaru Port area. Once you disembark at the nearest stop, walk towards the waterfront along the coastal path. Follow the signs leading to the Fairy Light House, which is located at the end of the port.
