Walking
From the city center of Timaru, head south on Stafford Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with 2nd Avenue. Turn left onto 2nd Avenue and walk for about 500 meters. You will see a sign for the Timaru Botanic Gardens on your right. Continue straight and follow the path towards the gardens. After enjoying the gardens, exit back onto 2nd Avenue and continue heading south until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Wai-iti Road. Continue on Wai-iti Road for about 1 kilometer. Look for signs directing you to Maori Hill. Turn left onto Maori Hill and walk up the hill. The Timaru Lighthouse - Blackett's Lighthouse will be on your left, at the top of the hill, providing stunning views of the coastline.

Public Transport
Start at the Timaru i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 2 George Street. From there, take the bus heading towards Maori Hill. You can check the local bus schedule for exact times. Once you are on the bus, request to be dropped off at the Maori Hill stop. After disembarking, walk up Maori Hill Road. The Timaru Lighthouse - Blackett's Lighthouse will be visible on your left as you ascend the hill. The walk from the bus stop to the lighthouse will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
