From the center of Wanaka, start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 103 Ardmore Street. Head south on Ardmore Street towards the lakefront. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Helwick Street. Turn left onto Helwick Street and continue straight until you reach the junction with Brownston Street. Turn right onto Brownston Street and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto State Highway 6 (SH6) heading towards Queenstown. Continue walking along SH6 for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Hansen Road. Turn left onto Hansen Road, and you will find Bad Luck Barbershop at 26 Hansen Road on your right.

From the center of Wanaka, make your way to the nearest bus stop on Ardmore Street. Check the schedule for the bus services heading towards Queenstown. Board the bus that goes to Queenstown and inform the driver you want to get off at the stop for Hansen Road. After approximately 30 minutes of travel, you will arrive near the intersection of SH6 and Hansen Road. Once you get off, walk a short distance south on Hansen Road, and you will see Bad Luck Barbershop located at 26 Hansen Road.
