Walking
From the center of Wanaka, head south on Helwick Street towards Ardmore Street. Continue onto Ardmore Street which will lead you to the Wanaka lakefront. Follow the lakefront path south until you reach the junction with Mount Aspiring Road. Turn left onto Mount Aspiring Road and walk for approximately 30 minutes. The Curvey Basin Ski Lift is located at Kawarau Falls 9371, approximately 2.5 km from the lakefront.

If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Wanaka. Start your journey from the Wanaka Lakefront, cycling south along the scenic lake path. When you reach the intersection with Mount Aspiring Road, turn left and continue cycling for about 2.5 km. The Curvey Basin Ski Lift will be on your right at Kawarau Falls 9371. Be sure to check bike rental hours and return your bicycle before closing time.
