To reach the Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge from Wanaka, start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre located on Ardmore Street. Head east along Ardmore Street until you reach the intersection with Brownston Street. Turn right onto Brownston Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Cardrona Valley Road. Turn left onto Cardrona Valley Road and continue for about 1.5 kilometers. After that, take a right turn onto the Queenstown Trail. Follow the trail signs, and after approximately 6 kilometers, you will arrive at the Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge. The walk will take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Wanaka. Start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre and head east on Ardmore Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Brownston Street and turn right. Follow Brownston Street until you reach Cardrona Valley Road and turn left. Cycle along Cardrona Valley Road for about 1.5 kilometers, then take a right onto the Queenstown Trail. The Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge is approximately 6 kilometers along the trail. This bike ride will take around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your speed.

To get to the Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge using public transport, start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre and ask about the bus services to Queenstown.
