From the center of Wanaka, head to the Wanaka bus stop located on Ardmore Street. Catch the bus heading towards Queenstown and ask the driver to drop you off at the Arrowtown stop. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Arrowtown, walk towards Buckingham Street, which is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. You'll find the Arrowtown Chinese Settlement along this street.

If you are near the Wanaka Lakefront, start by walking along the lake in the direction of Ardmore Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Helwick Street. Turn right onto Helwick Street, then continue walking until you reach the bus stop on Ardmore Street. From there, you can catch a bus to Arrowtown as described above.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Wanaka. Head towards the Lake Wanaka outlet and follow the bike path along the lake. Look for signs directing you to Arrowtown, which is approximately 20 kilometers away. The ride will take around 1-1.5 hours. Upon arriving in Arrowtown, head towards Buckingham Street to reach the Chinese Settlement.
