Travel Guide to Lake Anderson

Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Wānaka town centre, located near the lakefront. Head south on Ardmore Street, which will lead you along the shoreline of Lake Wānaka. Continue walking until you reach the junction with Brownston Street. Turn right onto Brownston Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Anderson Road. Turn left onto Anderson Road and continue walking. Lake Anderson is located at 154 Anderson Road, which will be on your right. The walk should take about 25-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Biking

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Wānaka. Start at the town centre and head south on Ardmore Street, following the same route as for walking. When you reach Brownston Street, turn right and cycle until you reach Anderson Road. Turn left onto Anderson Road and continue cycling until you arrive at Lake Anderson, located at 154 Anderson Road. This route is bike-friendly and should take around 15-20 minutes.

• Public Transport

  Currently, there is no direct public transport route to Lake Anderson. However, you can take a local bus that goes towards the outskirts of Wānaka. From the bus stop, you would need to walk to Anderson Road. Check with the local bus service for the latest routes and schedules. Once you reach Anderson Road, walk along it until you arrive at Lake Anderson, which is located at 154 Anderson Road.
