    Start your journey from the centre of Wanaka at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 103 Ardmore Street. From the i-SITE, head east on Ardmore Street until you reach the intersection with the Wanaka-Luggate Highway (State Highway 84). Cross the highway carefully at the pedestrian crossing. Once across, turn left and walk along the footpath beside the highway. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Mount Iron Track on your right, marked by signage indicating the track's start.

    If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Wanaka. Start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre and head east on Ardmore Street. Turn right onto the Wanaka-Luggate Highway (State Highway 84) and bike along the designated bike lanes.
