Walking
Start at the town center of Wanaka, at the intersection of Ardmore Street and Helwick Street. Head west on Ardmore Street towards the lakefront. Continue walking along the lakefront until you reach the end of the lake, where you will see the Wanaka Tree. From here, follow the pathway that leads towards the north along the lake. After approximately 15-20 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection with Mount Aspiring Road. Turn left onto Mount Aspiring Road and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. Wānaka Bench is located at 36 Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road, which is on your right.

If you have access to a bike, start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre. Head north on the bike path that runs along the lakefront, enjoying the scenic views of Lake Wanaka. Continue on this path until you reach the junction with Mount Aspiring Road. Turn left onto Mount Aspiring Road and bike for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Wānaka Bench will be on your right at 36 Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road.

From the Wanaka town center, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Ardmore Street. Take the bus heading towards the Mt. Aspiring Road route. Inform the bus driver that you would like to stop at the Wānaka Mount Aspiring Road stop. Once you disembark, walk back slightly (south) for about 100 meters, and you will find Wānaka Bench at 36 Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road on your right.
