Public Bus
Start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Information Centre located at 103 Ardmore Street. From there, take the bus service towards Queenstown. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the intersection of State Highway 6 and Mount Pisa Road, which is approximately a 20-minute ride. Once you disembark, you'll see Mount Pisa Road leading towards the Pisa Range.

Walking
After getting off at the intersection of State Highway 6 and Mount Pisa Road, walk along Mount Pisa Road for about 3 kilometers. This will lead you towards the base of the Pisa Range. The walk is on a gravel road, so wear appropriate footwear. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards hiking trails that lead up into the Pisa Range.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, consider renting a bike from one of the local rental shops in Wanaka. Start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Information Centre and head towards State Highway 6. After approximately 2 kilometers, turn onto Mount Pisa Road. Continue cycling for about 3 kilometers to reach the base of Pisa Range. The ride is quite scenic, but ensure you have a good map or GPS for navigation.

If you are an experienced hiker and feel up for an adventure, you can start your hike from Wanaka itself. Take the walking paths that lead towards the foothills of the Pisa Range.
