Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Wellington Waterfront, head east along the waterfront promenade until you reach the intersection with Wakefield Street. Turn left onto Wakefield Street and continue walking for about 10 minutes. The Wellington iSite Visitor Information Centre will be on your left at 111 Wakefield Street, Te Aro.

• Public Transport - Bus

  If you are near the Wellington Railway Station, you can catch a bus from the bus stop located on Bunny Street. Look for buses heading towards the city center. Get off at the 'Wakefield Street' stop, which is directly in front of the Wellington iSite Visitor Information Centre. The bus ride should take approximately 5-10 minutes.

• Walking from Te Papa Museum

  If you are at Te Papa Museum, exit the museum and head towards the waterfront. Walk along the waterfront promenade towards the east. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the intersection with Wakefield Street. Turn right onto Wakefield Street, and the Wellington iSite Visitor Information Centre will be on your left at 111 Wakefield Street, Te Aro.

• Public Transport - Cable Car

  If you are starting from the Wellington Cable Car station at the top of the Botanic Gardens, take the cable car down to Lambton Quay. Once you arrive, walk towards the intersection of Lambton Quay and Wakefield Street. Turn right onto Wakefield Street and continue walking for about 5-7 minutes. The Wellington iSite Visitor Information Centre will be on your left at 111 Wakefield Street, Te Aro.
