Turn left onto the Hokitika Gorge Road. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the Hokitika Gorge car park. Parking is free, and from there, you can access the gorge via a short walking track.

If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Hokitika to the nearby town of Kaniere. The bus services are operated by West Coast Buses, and you can check their schedule online. Once you arrive in Kaniere, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Hokitika Gorge, as public transport does not go directly to the gorge. Make sure to confirm the taxi fare in advance, as it may vary based on the provider.
