If you are starting from the Whanganui River, head northeast along the riverwalk until you reach Victoria Avenue. Turn left onto Victoria Avenue and continue walking for about 10 minutes. You will pass several cafes and shops. When you reach the intersection with Watt Street, turn right. The Whanganui War Memorial Centre is located a short distance down on your left at Watt Street, Whanganui 4500.
