• Walking

  If you are starting from Whanganui's city center, head towards the Whanganui River. Begin at the central square (Victoria Avenue) and walk towards the riverfront. When you reach the river, turn right and follow the riverbank, enjoying the views. Continue walking along the river until you reach the bridge (Duncan Street Bridge). Cross the bridge, then turn left onto Taupo Quay. After a few minutes, you will find the Whanganui River Markets at 7 Taupo Quay, just a short distance from the bridge.
