If you are in the city center of Whangarei, start at the Whangarei Town Basin. Head northeast on Dent Street towards the intersection with Bank Street. Turn right onto Bank Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Otaika Road. Turn left onto Otaika Road. Follow Otaika Road for about 2 kilometers; you'll pass several local shops and cafes. Tarewa Park will be on your left. Look for the park entrance, which is marked, and enjoy your visit!
