If you are driving from Matagalpa city, head northwest on Carretera Mat-Jin (also known as the Matagalpa-Jinotega road). Continue on this road for approximately 32 kilometers (20 miles). You will see signs for Selva Negra Ecolodge as you approach. The ecolodge is located at Km 140 on this road. Look for the entrance on your right, which is well-marked. Parking is available on-site.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Matagalpa, you can take a local bus heading towards Jinotega. These buses leave from the main bus terminal in Matagalpa. The fare is usually around 30-50 Cordobas (approximately $1). Ask the driver to drop you off at Km 140 on Carretera Mat-Jin. After getting off, you may need to walk about 10-15 minutes to reach the entrance of Selva Negra Ecolodge. Look for the signs along the road.

If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Matagalpa city. The journey will take about 30 minutes, and the fare is typically around 300-400 Cordobas (approximately $10-$14). Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your trip. The taxi will drop you off directly at the entrance of Selva Negra Ecolodge.
