    Start in the center of Rio San Juan. Head southeast on the main road towards the town of San Carlos. After approximately 30 minutes, take the road towards the left that leads to the ferry terminal. Drive to the ferry terminal in San Carlos and take a ferry to the island of Ometepe, which will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive on Ometepe, follow the signs to Tilgüe, where Reserva Natural Ojo de Agua is located. The reserve is about a 30-minute drive from the ferry terminal.

    From the main bus terminal in Rio San Juan, take a bus to San Carlos. The trip takes about 30 minutes. Once in San Carlos, head to the ferry terminal and purchase a ticket for the ferry to Ometepe, which costs around $2-$5.
