Start your journey from Granada, which is approximately 20 km from Jicaro Island. Head north on the Carretera a Masaya (Nicaragua Highway 1) for about 12 km, then take the exit toward N-300. Follow N-300 for another 7 km until you reach the dock for Jicaro Island. Parking is available near the boat launch area, but you may need to inquire about any fees.

From Granada, take a local bus heading towards Rivas that departs from the main bus station. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Ask the driver to let you off at the dock for Las Isletas. This will be your last stop before reaching the island. The dock is located at the edge of Lake Nicaragua, where you will find boats ready to take you to Jicaro Island. The bus fare is typically around 20-30 Nicaraguan Cordobas.
