If you're driving, start by getting onto I-277 from your location in the Charlotte area. Follow the signs for I-77 S/I-85 S. Take exit 10B for Trade St toward US-29 S/US-74 E. Continue on Trade St until you reach S Tryon St. Turn right onto S Tryon St, and the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art will be on your left at 420 S Tryon St. There is limited street parking available, as well as paid parking lots nearby.

Public Transportation - Light Rail
If you prefer public transportation, take the LYNX Blue Line light rail. Board the train at any station heading towards I-485/South Blvd. Get off at the Stonewall Station. From there, it’s a short walk: head northeast on E Stonewall St, then turn left onto S Tryon St. Continue walking, and the museum will be on your right at 420 S Tryon St. Be sure to check the light rail schedule for the latest timings.
