If you're traveling by car, start from downtown Charlotte. Take I-277 N and merge onto I-85 N. After about 5 miles, take exit 45B to merge onto US-74 E towards Wilmington. Continue on US-74 E for approximately 6 miles. Take the exit toward Central Ave/NC-16 N. Follow Central Ave for about 2 miles, then turn right onto Shamrock Dr. The Hezekiah Alexander House will be on your right at 3500 Shamrock Dr, Charlotte, NC 28215. There is free parking available on-site.

For public transportation, start by taking the LYNX Blue Line light rail from any station in the Charlotte area towards the I-485/South Blvd station. Transfer to bus route 11 at the 9th Street station, heading towards the Plaza Midwood area. Ride until you reach the stop at Shamrock Dr & Central Ave. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the Hezekiah Alexander House. Walk southwest on Shamrock Dr for about half a mile until you reach 3500 Shamrock Dr. Please check the CATS website for current bus schedules and fares, which typically range from $2.20 to $2.50.
