    From any location in Crystal Coast, head west on NC-24. Continue on NC-24 for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with US-70. Take the ramp onto US-70 East towards Morehead City. Stay on US-70 for approximately 15 miles, then take the exit for NC-306 South. Follow NC-306 South for about 12 miles until you reach the Cedar Island Ferry terminal. From the ferry terminal, take the Cedar Island Ferry over to Cedar Island. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive on Cedar Island, follow the signs for Cedar Island National Wildlife Refuge, which is just a short drive away. Note that there may be a ferry fee, which you should check in advance.
