    If you are traveling by car within High Country, start by getting onto US-421 S from your current location. Follow US-421 S for approximately 25 miles. Merge onto I-77 S and continue for about 15 miles. Take exit 62 for US-158 E toward Elkin. After about 12 miles, continue onto NC-67 E. Follow NC-67 E for about 10 miles until you reach NC-135 S. Turn left onto NC-135 S and drive for about 5 miles. Then turn right onto Old Mayo Park Rd. Follow Old Mayo Park Rd, and you will arrive at Mayo River State Park, located at 500 Old Mayo Park Rd, Mayodan, NC 27027. There are no tolls on this route, but be mindful of any gas expenses.
