Car
If you are driving from anywhere in the Inner Banks, the most straightforward route is to head towards New Bern. Use local roads to reach US-17 S (also known as the Coastal Highway). Follow US-17 S until you reach the exit for US-70 E. Continue on US-70 E and take the exit toward New Bern. Merge onto S Glenburnie Rd, then turn left onto E Neuse Blvd. Follow this road as it becomes S Front St. Tryon Palace will be on your right at 529 S Front St, New Bern, NC 28562. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that some lots may charge a fee.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, check the local bus schedules for the Craven Area Transit System (CATS), which services New Bern. You can take a bus to New Bern Transit Station. From there, it's approximately a 10-minute walk to Tryon Palace. Exit the station and head west on E Broad St, then turn right onto S Front St. Continue walking until you reach Tryon Palace at 529 S Front St, New Bern, NC 28562. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as services may vary.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, New Bern has bike-friendly routes. Start from your location in Inner Banks and navigate towards New Bern via local roads that connect to US-70 E.
