If you are traveling by car, start by heading southwest on US-321 S from Piedmont. Continue on US-321 S for approximately 30 miles. Take the exit for US-70 W towards Hickory. Merge onto US-70 W and continue for about 10 miles. Then, take the exit for I-40 W toward Asheville. After about 12 miles, exit onto NC-18 S toward Connelly Springs. Follow NC-18 S for about 6 miles, then turn right onto S Mountain Park Ave. After 1 mile, you will arrive at South Mountains State Park, where High Shoals Falls is located.
