Getting There

  • Car

    From any location in Pisgah National Forest, head towards US-276 S. Follow the road until you reach the junction with US-64 E. Take US-64 E towards Morganton. After approximately 18 miles, merge onto I-40 E toward Charlotte. Continue on I-40 E for about 7 miles and take exit 113 for NC-18 S toward Connelly Springs. After exiting, turn left onto NC-18 S and follow it for around 9 miles. Finally, turn left onto S Mountain Park Ave, and you will arrive at South Mountains State Park, located at 3001 S Mountain Park, Connelly Springs, NC 28612. Make sure to check for parking availability as there may be fees associated.
