If you are driving, start from Asheville, NC. Take I-240 E to I-40 E. Merge onto I-40 E and continue for about 12 miles. Take exit 73 for US-70 E toward Swannanoa. Continue on US-70 E for about 3.2 miles, then turn left onto Craggy Gardens Road. Follow this road for about 4 miles until you reach the Craggy Gardens parking area. Be aware that there may be a parking fee of $5 per vehicle, which can be paid at the kiosk.

If you are relying on public transportation, take a Greyhound or local bus from Asheville to Swannanoa. Once in Swannanoa, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to take you to the Craggy Gardens parking area, as public transport does not service the area directly. The ride from Swannanoa to Craggy Gardens should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Note that taxi fares may vary but expect to pay around $15-20 for this trip.
