If you're traveling by car from the Sandhills area, first head northeast on the nearest major road towards US-1 N. Continue on US-1 N until you reach the junction with I-85 N. Merge onto I-85 N towards Charlotte. Take exit 87 for US-29 S/US-321 S toward Gaffney. Continue on US-29 S for approximately 20 miles. Take the exit toward Chesnee Hwy/SC-105. Merge onto Chesnee Hwy/SC-105 and continue for about 3 miles until you reach Cowpens National Battlefield Visitor Center located at 4001 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341. There is no entrance fee to access the Visitor Center and the battlefield.
