    From the main entrance of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, head southeast on the South Unit Scenic Drive. Follow the signs for US-85 S. After about 7 miles, take a right onto ND-12 E. Continue on ND-12 for about 19 miles until you reach the junction with Fort Dilts Rd. Turn left onto Fort Dilts Rd and follow it for approximately 5 miles. The Fort Dilts State Historic Site will be on your right. There are no entry fees for visiting the site, but be aware that parking may be limited.
