Car
If you are driving a rental car, start from San Jose, the main town in Tinian. Head north on Route 1 (the main road) for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the junction with Route 202. Turn left onto Route 202. Continue on Route 202 for another 5 minutes. You will see signs for Hinode Shrine as you approach. When you reach the coordinates 3J2Q+724, you’ll find the shrine on your left. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, check with local bus services or shared taxis in San Jose, as these can take you to various points on the island. Request a drop-off at the junction of Route 202 and Route 1, which is the closest point to Hinode Shrine. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to the shrine. Follow the signs towards the shrine; the pathway is quite clear. Note that the availability of public transport may vary, so plan your trip accordingly.
