Getting there

Car

If you are driving, start from Kristiansand, the largest city in Agder. Take the E39 highway north towards Mandal. After approximately 40 km, take the exit onto Route 9 towards Setesdal. Continue on Route 9 for about 60 km until you reach Risdal. Follow local signs to Himmelsyna, which is located at 4834 Risdal. There is free parking available near the attraction.

Public Transportation

To reach Himmelsyna by public transport, start by taking a bus from Kristiansand to Setesdal. Buses are available from the Kristiansand bus station and usually run several times a day. Once you arrive at the Setesdal bus stop, you will need to catch a local taxi to take you to Himmelsyna in Risdal, as public transport options may be limited in that area. Expect to pay approximately 200-300 NOK for the taxi ride.

Walking
