Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the city center, head towards the harbor area. Walk along the waterfront promenade towards the Bryggen Wharf, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you reach Bryggen, continue walking along the water until you see the Bergenhus Fortress. The entrance to the fortress will lead you directly to King Håkon's Hall, located at Bergenhus 10. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

From the city center, you can take bus number 3 or 4 towards 'Løvstakken' or 'Flesland'. Get off at the 'Bergenhus Festning' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk towards the fortress which is directly ahead. King Håkon's Hall is within the fortress grounds at Bergenhus 10. The bus ride will take around 10 minutes, and it’s just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you are near the Light Rail station, take the line towards 'Byparken' or 'Flesland'. Get off at the 'Byparken' stop. From there, walk towards the Bergenhus Fortress, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head towards the harbor and you will see the fortress ahead.
