Walking
If you are in the city center of Fredrikstad, start at the Fredrikstad City Hall (Rådhuset) located on Storgata. From there, head southeast on Storgata towards Vesterelva river. Cross the river using the bridge (Vesterelvbrua). Once you are on the other side, continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto W. Blakstads gate. Follow W. Blakstads gate for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs leading you to Kongsten Fort on your right side.

Public Transport
From Fredrikstad Bus Station, take bus number 4 towards Kornsjø. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the stop named 'Kongsten'. From the bus stop, walk down Kongstadvn until you reach W. Blakstads gate. Turn right onto W. Blakstads gate and follow the road for about 500 meters until you see the entrance to Kongsten Fort on your left.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops around Fredrikstad. Start from the City Hall and head southeast on Storgata towards Vesterelva. After crossing Vesterelvbrua, continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto W. Blakstads gate. Follow W. Blakstads gate for about 1 kilometer and look for the signs indicating Kongsten Fort on your right.
