Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, navigate to Rv15, Nordberg. From the main road, look for parking areas designated for the Stuttgången viewpoint. The parking is sometimes limited, so try to arrive early in the day to secure a spot. Once parked, follow the clearly marked hiking trail that leads to the viewpoint. The hike is approximately 1 km and takes about 20-30 minutes to reach the viewpoint, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest stop at Nordberg along Rv15. Check the local bus schedules as they may vary seasonally. Once you arrive at the Nordberg bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to the viewpoint. Follow Rv15 westward until you see the signs for Stuttgången. The trailhead will be easily visible from the road. The hike from the trailhead to the viewpoint is about 1 km and takes around 20-30 minutes.

• Hiking

  If you are already in Jotunheimen National Park and prefer hiking, you can access the Stuttgången viewpoint from various trails that connect to the area. Ensure you have a map of the park and follow the marked trails that lead toward the Rv15 road. The last stretch to the viewpoint is well-marked and provides a scenic experience. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and bring water, as there are no facilities along the way.
