Walking
If you are starting from the city center of Kristiansand, make your way to the waterfront promenade (Strandpromenaden). From the main square, walk south towards the Fiskebrygga (the fish market area). Enjoy the views along the waterfront as you continue walking. Once you reach Fiskebrygga, continue following the promenade until you reach the entrance of Odderøya, marked by a large sign. You will see paths leading into the wooded area.

From the city center, head to the nearest bus stop and take bus line 1 or 2 towards 'Odderøya'. The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'Odderøya' stop. From there, follow the signs leading towards the fort. You will walk through some beautiful coastal paths before arriving at the fort.

You can rent a bicycle from one of the bike rental spots in the city center. Head towards the waterfront and follow the bike paths along the promenade. Keep going past Fiskebrygga, then follow the signs to Odderøya. The route is scenic and takes approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace. Once you arrive at Odderøya, there are bike racks available for you to secure your bicycle.
