Once you reach Hjerkinn, follow the signs to Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella National Park. The park entrance is located at Hjerkinnhusvegen 33, 2661 Hjerkinn. Be aware that parking fees may apply at the park entrance.

For those using public transportation, take a train from Bodø to Dombås. The train journey takes around 5 hours. From Dombås, you can take a local bus to Hjerkinn. The bus ride is approximately 30 minutes. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance as it may vary. Upon arriving in Hjerkinn, follow the signs to the national park entrance at Hjerkinnhusvegen 33.
