Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, the journey to Havmannen in Mo i Rana is straightforward. Start on the E6 highway, the main road that runs through Nordland. From Bodø, drive south on the E6 for about 300 kilometers (approximately 4 hours). After reaching Mo i Rana, take exit 4 towards Mo i Rana city center. Follow signs for Ola Grotnes' vei. The sculpture is located at the end of this road, with ample parking available near the site.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Havmannen by public transportation, you can take a bus from various locations in Nordland. From Bodø, take a bus operated by Nordland fylkeskommune to Mo i Rana. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours, depending on connections. Upon arriving at Mo i Rana bus station, you can either walk (about 2 km, roughly 25 minutes) to Ola Grotnes' vei or take a local taxi. Note that taxi fares may vary, so it’s advisable to check the rate beforehand.

• Train

  Another option is to take a train from Bodø to Mo i Rana, operated by Vy. The train journey lasts around 4 hours. Once you arrive at Mo i Rana train station, you can either walk to Havmannen (approximately 2 km, about 25 minutes) or take a taxi. The taxi ride from the train station to Havmannen is relatively short and should cost between 100-200 NOK.
