Getting There
Car
If you are driving from Bodø, take the E6 highway southbound. After approximately 10 km, take the exit onto the E10 highway towards Lofoten Islands. Follow the E10 for about 145 km, which will take you across the scenic Lofoten Bridge. Continue on the E10 until you reach Svolvær. Once in Svolvær, follow the signs to the town center. Visit Lofoten is located at Torget 18, 8300 Svolvær, right near the harbor.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Bodø, take the bus operated by Nordland fylkeskommune towards Svolvær. The journey takes approximately 3.5 hours with a scenic route through the islands. Arrive at Svolvær bus station and walk approximately 10 minutes to Visit Lofoten located at Torget 18. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance for the latest timings.
Ferry + Bus
You can also take a ferry from Bodø to Moskenes. The ferry ride takes about 3.5 hours. Once you arrive at Moskenes, take a local bus towards Svolvær. The bus journey will take around 1.5 hours. Upon arriving in Svolvær, walk to Visit Lofoten at Torget 18. Note that ferry tickets cost around 300 NOK for adults and may vary based on the season.
Air Travel
For those flying, take a flight from Oslo or other major cities to Svolvær Airport (SVJ). Once you arrive at the airport, you can either rent a car or take a taxi to Visit Lofoten, which is about a 15-minute drive from the airport to Torget 18, Svolvær.
