Public Transport - Metro

To reach Holmenkollen Chapel using the metro, start at any metro station in Oslo. Take Line 1 (the Frognerseteren line) towards Frognerseteren. Stay on the train until you reach the Holmenkollen station. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs for Holmenkollen Park. You will walk uphill for about 10 minutes, and the chapel will be on your left. The total journey should take around 30 minutes.

Public Transport - Bus

If you prefer taking the bus, you can board bus number 18 from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S) towards Rikshospitalet. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the Holmenkollen stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk uphill to the chapel. Follow the path leading into the park area, and you will see the chapel shortly after. This option will take approximately 25 minutes in total.

Walking

If you're feeling adventurous and are staying nearby, you can walk to Holmenkollen Chapel. From the city center, head towards the Frogner Park and follow the signs towards Holmenkollen. It's a scenic route, but it can take around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Alternatively, if you're coming from Majorstuen, it will take about 30-40 minutes. Follow the main roads and enjoy the views as you ascend towards the chapel.
