If you're in Sentrum, the easiest way to reach Slottsplassen is by walking. Start at the intersection of Karl Johans gate and Stortingsgata. Head down Karl Johans gate towards the Royal Palace. You will pass by the National Theatre on your left and continue straight until you reach Slottsplassen, which is directly in front of the Royal Palace. This route takes approximately 10-15 minutes depending on your pace.

Public Transport - Tram
You can take tram line 12 from the nearest tram stop, Stortorvet, which is located near the Oslo Cathedral. Board the tram towards Majorstuen and get off at the stop called Nationaltheatret. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Slottsplassen. Exit the tram and head towards Karl Johans gate, then walk straight until you reach the Royal Palace.

Another option is to take a bus from Sentrum. Head to the bus stop at Stortorvet and catch bus line 30 or 34 towards Majorstuen. Alight at the stop called Nationaltheatret. After disembarking, walk towards Karl Johans gate and continue straight until you arrive at Slottsplassen. The total journey may take around 15-20 minutes.
