    If you're in Sentrum, the easiest way to reach Slottsplassen is by walking. Start at the intersection of Karl Johans gate and Stortingsgata. Head down Karl Johans gate towards the Royal Palace. You will pass by the National Theatre on your left and continue straight until you reach Slottsplassen, which is directly in front of the Royal Palace.     You can take tram line 12 from the nearest tram stop, Stortorvet, which is located near the Oslo Cathedral. Board the tram towards Majorstuen and get off at the stop called Nationaltheatret.
